Why?

Through our simple life of prayer, community living and apostolate we love and serve Christ, especially in “the poorest of the poor” (Don Orione).
In addition to the three vows of Chastity, poverty and obedience, we make a forth vow of charity in order to incarnate our particular aim which is “the exercise of charity towards our neighbor, mainly by consecrating our lives to bring the children of the poorer classes and those who are furthest from God and most abandoned, to the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, of his Vicar on earth, the Holy Father and of the Holy Church, by means of the teaching of the Christian faith and the practice of the evangelical work of mercy”. (Don Orione)
